Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to promote holistic childhood development.
- Plan and execute engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, including working with children with special education needs or requiring early intervention support.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a positive environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and respectful behavior.
- Support toddlers and preschool-aged children with daily care routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times while maintaining health and safety standards.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to foster good conduct, social skills, and emotional regulation among students.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and colleagues to monitor progress through assessments or standardized testing when appropriate.
- Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, attendance, and behavioral observations to support ongoing development efforts.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or daycare settings; preschool or private school experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management strategies, and early childhood education best practices.
- Familiarity with curriculum development across various subjects such as literacy education, math—including Montessori methods—and physical education.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators to foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; experience with special education or early intervention programs is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to plan lessons thoughtfully while adapting to the unique needs of each child.
