Childcare Teacher for 2's and 3's

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality instruction across various classrooms, ensuring a positive learning environment for students of all ages. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering student development. The Substitute Teacher will support classroom activities, implement lesson plans, and manage student behavior to promote effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of instruction.
• Develop and adapt curriculum materials as needed to meet diverse student needs.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement behavior management strategies to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Engage students in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, and overall childhood development.
• Foster inclusive classroom environments, including experience working with children with autism or special education needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Support early childhood education principles and Montessori or preschool methodologies when applicable.
• Assist with tutoring or additional instructional support in subjects such as literacy education or math.
• Maintain classroom organization and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience in preschool, elementary, or special education settings is preferred.
• Experience working with children of various developmental stages, including early childhood education and childhood development.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional best practices.
• Experience working with students with autism or in private school environments is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
• Background in tutoring or specialized education areas such as literacy education, math, or Montessori methods is advantageous.
