Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that foster literacy, numeracy, social skills, and physical development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, classroom management techniques, and innovative teaching strategies.
- Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special educational needs through tailored activities and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and a respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or classroom activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration while adhering to daycare safety protocols.
- Support children’s emotional well-being by fostering a nurturing atmosphere that promotes confidence, independence, and social skills.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques specific to early childhood education.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with young children, parents, and team members using clear and positive language.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, literacy education strategies, math instruction, and teaching physical education activities.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or Montessori methods is preferred; relevant coursework in childhood development is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a lively and motivating classroom atmosphere.
