Children Librarian's

Job Overview
Join our library team as a Youth Services Librarian and help spark a love of reading and learning in kids of all ages! In this role, you’ll create fun, engaging programs, build a great collection for young readers, and help families make the most of everything the library has to offer.

• Build and care for the children’s collection (books, movies, digital items)
• Plan and lead fun storytimes, programs, and activities that help kids learn and grow
• Help kids and families find what they need, from books to tech help
• Keep the collection fresh by organizing, updating, and weeding out old materials
• Team up with local organizations (and help with grants) to bring new ideas and resources to the library
• Track program attendance, circulation, and other basic records
• Spread the word about library programs through social media and community outreach

• Strong communication skills—you’re comfortable connecting with kids, parents, educators, and community partners

• Organized and able to keep track of programs, schedules, and collections
• Familiar with library systems, databases, and basic data tracking
• Some understanding of digital content and copyright basics is a plus
• Interest in helping with grants and managing program budgets
• Comfortable with research, social media, and keeping information organized

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
