Children's Art Teacher - Mixed Media

We are pleased to announce an opening at The Art Cottage. The school is a fun, flexible space to create and share the happiness of art.

Tue-Thurs. 3:45pm-6:15pm, Friday 4pm-6pm or 8pm some Fridays. Sat. 9:45am-12pm or 2pm some Saturdays, (variable hours Friday afternoon/evening and Saturdays). (Looking for someone to fill some or all of those hours listed).

Abilities:

• Engage a roomful of students of all ages and abilities. (6-11 years old)
• Create successful sequential lessons that are developmentally appropriate.
• Use the arts to foster and build healthy self-esteem for students.
• Be flexible, assess progress and success of classroom in progress and make any necessary adjustments (in teaching style, materials, equipment, timing, sequencing, teacher/staff involvement).
• Host paint-a-long style kids birthday parties and adult paint nights.
• Assist with managing font desk, gelato service, POS and scheduling.
• Maintain a clean environment.

Skills: Have training and/or years of experience in arts discipline or traditional arts practice. Possess artistic skills to deal with any situation that might arise.
