Chill Department Stocker - Morning Shift

Job description

Our constantly expanding Chill ("Dairy") Department is looking for YOU!
Join us in sustaining the magical world of fine cheeses, yogurts, fermented goods, dips and more. This position requires a hard working, organized individual passionate about our products & fulfilling our customers needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. General

a. To know and actively support the company's goals and purpose in the community.

b. To know and enforce the company's policies and procedures.

c. To model through your own actions the behaviors we expect from all the staff:

i. Relate and interact in a harmonious and respectful nature with Staff and Guests.

ii. Be a mature and productive team member

iii. Provide excellent Guest service at all opportunities

iv. Keep the store safe for Guests and staff

d. Answers Guest and Staff questions effectively; seeks out answers when answer is unknown

e. Continually mentors and trains less experienced Staff members

2. Ordering:

a. Keep accurate inventory at all times to provide Guests consistent in stocks, coupled with introducing exciting new items.

b. Work to keep back stock levels organized and optimized to drive sales. Communicate overstock issues with Grocery manager, and utilize sampling.

c. Ensure sale items are in ample supply.

d. Utilize our POS system to determine order frequency and quantity (Auto-ordering)

e. Ensure top selling items and staple items always in stock

f. Be available to answer Staff and Guest questions regarding out of stocks, ETA’s, discos. Hand off to Grocery manager as needed.

3. Receiving, Stocking, Merchandising

a. Process invoices, making sure to follow up on credits, quality concerns and pricing discrepancies within 48 hours of receiving with a goal of end of day.

b. See that product is properly stored, and that out of date, returned products are handled per Winter Ridge guidelines.

c. When stocking, make sure proper shelf organization and rotation guidelines are followed. Zero tolerance for selling off code products, which should be pulled one day prior to date.

d. Keep all work and back-stock areas clean and organized.

e. Maintain clean and clear signage

f. Maintain shelf tags for all products, ensure organization, proper pricing and cleanliness.

g. Ensure all returned products are picked up and credited.

h. Help Set-up and take down monthly sale items.

4. Guest Service

a. Ensure satisfaction of Guests’ needs

b. Handle Guests requests, suggestions, complaints and questions in a calm informative manner.

c. Be available to answer Guests questions and show them to products throughout store.

d. Be available to answer phone during busy times.

5. Other

a. Attend store meetings to talk about new items, department business, and Guest needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 2 years’ retail experience

- Experience ordering, processing invoices and merchandising

- Ability to project friendly, outgoing personality

- Able to work as positive team member

- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple demands

- Well-organized, pays attention to detail

- Basic math skills required

REQUIREMENTS:

Able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
