The team provides gentle spinal adjustments, prenatal and pediatric care, and other basic therapies in a calm, low-stress setting. Led by experienced, highly-trained chiropractors, the practice is known for personalized care, clear communication, and a friendly, family-style atmosphere. Role Summary

This position is essential to the flow, mood, and patient experience at Billingsley Chiropractic Center. Drawing on our family-focused, wellness-based approach, you will help create an environment where patients feel genuinely welcomed and cared for, the office runs smoothly and calmly, and the doctor can stay fully focused on providing high-quality chiropractic care to people of all ages. You’ll support a steady, organized pace that lets us serve many families on the south side of Indianapolis without the experience ever feeling rushed or impersonal. When the Chiropractic Assistant role is done well, the entire practice functions at its best and patients feel the difference in every visit.

Expected Hours

Employees at our practice are ready to serve patients during the following range of times:

  • Monday thru Wednesday: 8:30am to 12:30pm, and 1:45pm to 6:30pm (or last patient departure)
  • Thursday: 8:30am to 12:30pm (or last patient departure)

Chiropractic Assistant Core Responsibilities

Patient Experience

  • Assist with therapies after adjustments to support healing and help each adjustment last.
  • Learn and perform basic, clearly defined examinations under the doctor’s guidance.
  • Guide patients of all ages through their visit so they feel informed, comfortable, and confident in their care.

Office Flow & Operations

  • Prepare and reset patient rooms between visits to keep the day moving smoothly.
  • Clean and maintain adjusting tables and therapy equipment to support a safe, professional environment.
  • Help keep the office calm, organized, and on schedule.

Administrative Support

  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and greet patients at check-in.
  • Monitor and direct patient flow during busy times so visits stay timely and stress-free.
  • File paperwork and complete basic computer tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Inventory & Organization

  • Track office and clinical supplies and help place orders when items run low.
  • Keep treatment and therapy areas stocked, tidy, and ready for patient care.

Business Responsibilities

  • Assist with simple billing and insurance processes as trained.
  • Be a part of office systems and contribute to basic computer-based workflows.
  • Help maintain patient communication through simple updates on social media or other online platforms.
  • As a small, team-focused office, be flexible and proactive, stepping in where needed so the team can provide consistent, high-quality care to every patient.

Role Requirements

  • Warm, friendly, people-focused personality; you genuinely like talking with and helping others.
  • Comfortable in a structured, fast-paced clinical environment where you are active and on your feet most of the day.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a consistent positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Coachable, open to feedback, and willing to learn new skills and office systems.
  • Able to multitask and stay organized while switching between patient support, room prep, and simple administrative tasks.
  • Basic comfort with computers and learning simple software for scheduling and documentation.
  • Comfortable working within a clinical space where movement is frequent, as well as performing basic physical tasks in support of patients and the office.

Preferred Qualities

  • Strong initiative: you notice what needs to be done and take action without waiting for direction.
  • Genuine interest in natural health, wellness, and chiropractic care.
  • Clear, kind communication style and ability to put patients at ease, including children and families.
  • Prior experience in customer service, healthcare, or another people-oriented role (not required but helpful).
  • Flexibility to adapt as the practice grows, take on new responsibilities, and support teammates wherever needed.
