Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a smooth check-in process and addressing their needs with friendly professionalism
- Manage appointment scheduling, phone calls.
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance authorization and verification procedures accurately
- Handle personal injury cases and organization of medical billing and coding tasks, including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 coding.
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation standards
- Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating health histories, taking vitals (height, weight, blood pressure)
- Support clinic operations by managing multi-line phone systems, filing documents, and performing general clerical duties such as data entry and typing.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a medical or chiropractic environment is highly preferred
- Spanish speaking
- Familiarity with chiropractic modalities (muscle stimulator, ultrasound) preferred
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and health information management software
- Exceptional patient service skills with strong phone etiquette and communication abilities
- Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations
- Prior clinic or front desk experience in healthcare settings is highly desirable
