Billing Specialist / Front Desk Receptionist – Chiropractic Office
White Chiropractic & Disc Centers of America Burnsville is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and friendly Billing Specialist with Receptionist Duties to join our fast-paced, patient-focused clinic. Position Overview
This dual-role position is responsible for ensuring smooth front-desk operations while managing accurate medical billing and claims processing. You will be the first point of contact for patients—providing exceptional customer service—while also handling insurance verification, coding accuracy, and follow-up on outstanding claims.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Insurance
- Verify insurance benefits (commercial, auto injury, Medicare, VA, etc.)
- Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims using our EHR (ChiroSpring).
- Review EOBs, post payments, and ensure accurate patient balances.
- Follow up on unpaid patient balances or denied claims and communicate with insurance carriers.
- Maintain knowledge of CPT codes, diagnosis codes, and documentation requirements.
- Assist with patient statements, payment plans, and billing questions.
- Generate A/R reports and track billing activities and financial performance
- Ensure daily balancing of posted charges and transactions
- Participate in regular team meetings and billing company meetings; provide positive feedback and suggestions
Receptionist / Front Desk/ Chiropractic Assistant
- Welcome patients warmly and check them in/out efficiently.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage daily patient flow.
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk environment.
- Support doctors and team members with administrative tasks.
- Cross trained in applying patient therapies, filing and preparing charts and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ years prior experience in medical billing required (chiropractic experience preferred)
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, EOBs, and insurance communications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Familiarity with ChiroSpring is a plus, but training is available
- Spanish speaking/bilingual would be a plus but not required

Hours:
Monday: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm
Friday: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
*More hours could be available if candidate is flexible to fill in for co-workers as needed.
