Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Chiropractic Office Lead to oversee the daily operations of our busy chiropractic clinic. This energetic leader will ensure smooth clinic workflows, exceptional patient service, and efficient administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical administrative skills, experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and a passion for fostering a positive patient experience. As the cornerstone of our clinic’s success, you will coordinate front desk activities, manage billing and coding processes, and support clinical staff to deliver outstanding care. Your proactive approach and leadership will help us maintain a high standard of excellence in healthcare delivery.
Duties
- Supervise daily clinic operations, including patient scheduling, check-in/check-out procedures, and front desk management.
- Oversee medical billing and coding processes utilizing CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and Meditech or Epic EMR systems to ensure accurate documentation and reimbursement.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance verifications, and handle claims processing in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clinical staff with documentation review, care plan coordination, and maintaining accurate medical records using EMR systems such as Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks.
- Manage patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette while providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health information management standards, including HIPAA privacy rules and proper filing of medical records.
- Assist with office management tasks such as inventory control, appointment scheduling, billing follow-ups, and maintaining a clean, organized front office environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical office management within a chiropractic or dental clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly preferred.
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with multi-line phone systems and 10-key typing.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of insurance verification procedures and medical billing practices required.
- Exceptional communication skills along with professional phone etiquette and customer service orientation.
- Experience working in a healthcare environment with dental terminology or hospital experience is advantageous.
