- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Choral Music, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree (preferred but not always required).
- Prior experience directing choirs or vocal ensembles (preferred).
- Experience working with high school students.
- Piano proficiency and the ability to accompany students.
- Strong knowledge of vocal technique, music theory, sight-reading, and choral repertoire.
- Ability to plan and lead rehearsals, performances, and concerts.
- Classroom management skills appropriate for high school students.
- Ability to organize events such as concerts, competitions, and field trips.
- Familiarity with technology in music education (notation software, sound systems, etc.).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Willingness to work after school hours for rehearsals, concerts, or events.
