Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans across all subjects, including biblical education, literacy education, math, science, social studies, and physical education, aligned with curriculum standards and faith-based values
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies
- Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student understanding and engagement
- Provide individualized tutoring and support for students with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and ongoing observations to tailor instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support students’ social-emotional development and address behavioral challenges
- Mentor students in character development and spiritual growth by integrating biblical teachings into daily activities and discussions
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents in accordance with education administration policies
- Support library services by guiding students in research skills and fostering a love for reading
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; certification in elementary education preferred
- Proven classroom experience with children in elementary grades; private school experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and teaching strategies for early childhood education
- Experience working with students with autism or other special needs; familiarity with early intervention techniques is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners
- Proficiency in learning technology tools and literacy education resources
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing preparation
- Skills in behavior management, classroom management techniques, and childcare best practices
- Passion for mentoring young learners within a faith-based educational environment; commitment to Christian values is essential
