Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated, part-time Christian Secondary Teacher specializing in Bible and Science to inspire and nurture the spiritual and academic growth of students in a vibrant educational environment. Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons in Bible studies alongside comprehensive science courses such as biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
  • Develop innovative lesson plans that incorporate instructional design principles, learning technology tools, and differentiated strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques, encouraging respectful interactions and active participation.
  • Assess student progress regularly through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Mentor students academically and spiritually by offering guidance, tutoring sessions, and academic advising tailored to individual learning styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives, integrating science concepts with biblical perspectives to deepen students’ understanding of faith and science harmony.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development related to science research methods, laboratory experiences, special education practices, and educational administration to enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Supervise laboratory activities involving dissection, microbiology experiments, molecular biology techniques, genetics studies, and other hands-on scientific research tasks while emphasizing safety protocols.
  • Utilize library services and digital resources for research projects; guide students in scientific research methodologies and lab report proofreading.
  • Participate actively in school community events, chapel services, mentorship programs, and faith-based activities that reinforce Christian values within the educational setting.

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience teaching secondary science subjects at the high school level within a private or Christian school environment is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development for science courses such as biology (including cell biology, biochemistry, genetics), chemistry (organic chemistry), mathematics (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus), and related STEM fields.
  • Proven ability to incorporate learning technology tools into lesson plans effectively to enhance student engagement and understanding.
  • Experience conducting scientific research or working within a laboratory setting—familiarity with dissection techniques, microbiology procedures, molecular biology experiments—is advantageous.
  • Strong background in classroom management strategies combined with behavior management skills tailored for diverse student populations including those requiring special education accommodations.
  • Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and experience preparing students for college entrance exams or other assessments is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills for mentoring students, collaborating with colleagues, engaging parents, and participating in school administration activities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth through higher education teaching certifications or specialized training in instructional design or Montessori methods is desirable.
