Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Set Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring excellent customer experiences, and maintaining efficient store operations.

Duties

• Supervise daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Lead and develop a team through effective training, orientation, and performance management.
• Manage inventory control processes, including stock management, purchasing, and merchandising.
• Oversee cash handling procedures, including payroll and bookkeeping tasks.
• Conduct interviews and recruit new team members to build a strong workforce.
• Implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Utilize retail math for budgeting and pricing decisions to optimize profitability.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and employee engagement.
• Maintain clear communication with staff regarding goals, expectations, and operational changes.
• Ensure the store is well-organized, visually appealing, and fully stocked at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager with strong supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology.
• Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial reporting in a retail context.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to company policies on cash handling.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are highly desirable for effective customer interaction.
• Experience in training & development practices to enhance team performance.
• Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and purchasing decisions.
