Church Administrative Assistant

Your role will be vital in managing daily administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and ensuring effective communication across all church departments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact at the church office, greeting visitors and answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and warmth
  • Manage office operations including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
  • Oversee calendar management for church events, meetings, and appointments, ensuring all scheduling is accurate and up-to-date
  • Handle bookkeeping responsibilities utilizing QuickBooks and Planning Center to track donations, expenses, and financial records accurately
  • Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously both in person and via phone or email
  • Assist with clerical duties such as proofreading documents, preparing correspondence, and managing incoming/outgoing mail
  • Support office management tasks including supply inventory, maintaining filing systems, and coordinating with vendors or service providers
  • Experience in managing webpages and socia media is a plus

Requirements

  • Proven office management or administrative experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) is required
  • Experience with QuickBooks software is desirable
  • Experience with Planning Center is desirable
  • Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently
  • Strong typing skills along with data entry accuracy and proofreading capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Personal assistant or office experience that includes calendar management and supporting busy teams
  • Committed to the Christian faith and mission of the church
