Church Administrator

<Job Overview>
Responsible for managing the church office, keeping records up to date, and providing clerical assistance. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and demonstrate effective productivity and time management.

<Duties>

  • Key responsibiblites include managing multiple calendars, preparing church materials, handling correspondence, maintaining data bases, and ensuring the efficient operation of the office, along with other duties as assigned.
  • Office Administration: Manage daily operations, order supplies, checking and distributing mail and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Communication: Act as the first point of contact, answering phones, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
  • Correspondence: Prepare and update weekly Congregational materials including Prayer List, Pastor materials, updates to announcements and other documents/materials as needed.
  • Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate membership records (baptisms, weddings, deaths, etc.) and filing systems.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate the Church and Pastor calendars. Communicates calendar events with Church Leadership Team, Auxiliary Leaders and others as required.
  • Financial Support: Handle basic bookkeeping.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CANVA, database management. Familiar with Webpage management.Working Conditions:
  • 10 - 15 hours per week. Hybrid schedule.
  • Requires working with Pastor, members of Leadership team, committees, and volunteers.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Technology and/or other Office Administration Certifications.
  • Proven Administrative experience.
  • Proficient in Social Media management.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Church Ministry Acumen - knowledge of church operations, policies, and regulations a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and keep files and schedules organized.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with high attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, professional, and welcoming demeanor for interacting with congregation members and visitors.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive personal and church information with discretion. Acts with Integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Experience: Previous secretarial or office administrative experience is preferred.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
