Towering Oaks Baptist Church is seeking a trustworthy, detail-oriented individual to serve as our Financial Secretary. This vital role supports the church’s mission by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring responsible stewardship of God’s resources.

Position Summary

The Financial Secretary is responsible for recording, organizing, and maintaining all financial records of the church with confidentiality and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and process weekly contributions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Realm accounting software
  • Prepare regular financial reports
  • Accounts payable processing
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain financial documentation
  • Ensure confidentiality of all financials
  • Collaborate with the Pastor, and leadership team

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial recordkeeping preferred
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic accounting software
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and self-motivated
  • Alignment with the mission and values of the church

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time
  • Compensation based on qualifications & experience
