Church Preschool Seeking a Lead Teacher for Fall (Aug 2026)

Job description

Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational goals.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for preschool-aged children.
- Teach basic academic skills, such as color recognition, counting, and shape recognition.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities to enhance cognitive, social, and physical development.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behavior and promote positive discipline techniques.
- Ensure the health and safety of all students in the classroom.

Requirements:
- The North Carolina Early Childhood Credential or a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Conscious Discipline experience or training is a plus.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to promote positive student behavior.
- Familiarity with concepts appropriate for preschool-aged children.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
