Church Staff - Warehouse Operations Manager Trainee, Evangelism

Background: This is an Operations Manager role that serves churches and other business. Products have been shipped to 50,000+ churches from the warehouse. Many of these products have focused on evangelism. The business also serves other companies as well.

Two options: We are looking for someone within the Austin area to be a remote consultant ie. a Warehouse Ops Manager Consultant. We are also looking for someone to relocate to our current warehouse location in Pennsylvania for one year for training. Then, after one year, the plan is to open a second warehouse location in another state in a preferable location such as Texas (the owner lives in Texas but the current warehouse is in Pennsylvania). The goal is to open multiple warehouse locations over the next several years. There is good expansion opportunity for this company. We are looking for someone willing to move to Pennsylvania and then open a warehouse in Texas or elsewhere for the company.

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Operations Management Trainee to join our team. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow who have the potential to become a Warehouse Operations Manager and run a warehouse (ie. open up a new warehouse location for the company). As a Management Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of operations, inventory management, and team leadership. This position provides an excellent opportunity for career advancement into management roles. However, if you already have management experience, Operations Management experience, or Warehouse Management experience, this is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating and measuring warehouse and operations key indicators, creating scalable staffing plans for volume surges, employee engagement
  • Will participate in ongoing management training and development
  • Will be responsible for making SOPs and processes are followed and developed
  • Will participate in performance review meetings for the warehouse
  • Will participate in employee recruitment and in developing flexible staffing
  • Will participate in staffing and will supervise teams of employees
  • Will be trained to run a highly functioning warehouse
  • Meet profitability expectations and targets
  • Ability to create and manage budgets
  • Manage shifts effectively, ensuring optimal staffing levels and productivity during volume peaks
  • Will be responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, inventory management, on-time shipments
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and developing employee engagement

Requirements

  • Previous experience in warehouse management, operations management, or as an assistant manager roles is preferred. The goal is that this individual would be able to oversee a warehouse for the company in one year.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and training.
  • Strong warehouse and operations leadership abilities
  • Willingness to work hard
  • Prior budget management experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to create key indicator reports and proposals to improve efficiency
  • Training in ISO900, Lean Thinking, and other related training a plus

1 - The goal is to have someone be the Assistant Ops Manager / Warehouse Manager Trainee at the warehouse in Pennsylvania, and for this individual to open a future warehouse location. The initial position is to fine tune skills, learn the company culture, etc. Are you willing to relocate to the warehouse in Pennsylvania for one year or more, or are looking to just be remote consultant?

2 - Do you have any experience working with ministries? Please explain.

3 - Do you have any prior experience in managing a business unit where you have been responsible for the top line and bottom line?

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
