Cicada is an artistic, intimate & beloved Cambridge hub at 106 Prospect Street, Central Square. We are a specialty Vietnamese cafe by day, wine bar by night. Cicada has been James Beard Nominated, and made Boston’s Best multiple years.
Position: Full Time Barista (3-5 shifts/week) at Cicada
Compensation: $20-26/hr (base + tips)
Professional Expectations
Barista experience a must (all levels welcome).
Keep coffee bar tidy. Regularly deep clean equipment.
Welcome and seat guests in orderly fashion. Maintain house rules.
Dedication to hospitality work (must love people!).
Hungry for a place to stay for a long time & a team to call home.
Personality Expectations
Be humble & respectful. Be kind.
Work hard.
Communicate well & often.
Be hungry to learn every day.
Collaborate with team to problem solve & create beauty.
Work Environment: Close-knit small team. Small size dining room. Excellent environment for self-starters & independent workers.
