Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CILA Home Coordinator to oversee operations within a community-based residential setting. This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to residents with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, management experience, and a compassionate approach to caring for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives while managing daily operations effectively.

Responsibilities

Create a warm home atmosphere that reflects individual’s choices and interests; monitor home operations and care and ensure assigned homes are clean and well-maintained.

· Promote active treatment by modeling interaction with individuals served, promoting outcomes and establishing daily routines for DSPs that align with Riverside’s mission.

· Build relationships with families and guardians, through active communication. Provide timely updates to families/guardians.

· Support DSPs by providing positive guidance within each home and promoting quality of care. Team with Director and Manager to discuss any performance issues and administer counseling as needed.

· Promote inclusion by offering activities in the community based on individual’s interest and through special recreation outlets. Complete any registrations and processes, as needed.

· Review prospective applicants and conduct interviews based on the needs of each home. Follow up with documentation to HR.

· Conduct OJT training for new hires and ongoing training for DSPs as outlined by Human Resource and the CILA team.

· Provide coverage for medication administration as needed. Must maintain Approved Medication Personnel Status and adhere to policies and procedures relevant to medication administration.

· Conduct routine check of MARs and Medication cabinets in assigned homes, ensuring compliance to Rule 116

· Team with Admin Assistant in maintaining safety records, including evacuation drills and incident reports/CIRAS reporting.

· Collaborate with CILA Manager and Operations Assistant in maintaining meal plans that reflect the individuals preference and consider their needs. Ensure homes follow menus and food safety guidelines.

· Attend individual Outcome Planning meetings and provide real-time input.

· Team with BCBA and other outside contractors (counseling, therapy, nursing) to ensure continuity and collaboration of care for individuals in respective homes.

· Monitor banking/expenditure books in home to ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner. Assist individuals with personal banking and accounts

· Ensure that individuals personal needs (clothing, hygiene, hobby items, etc) are maintained and within their budget.

· Provide transportation to medical appointments as needed.

· Report any incidents as identified in the Incident Management Bulletin, safety issues, and workplace injuries immediately.

· Performs any and all related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

· On call rotation every 4 weeks; in tandem with Program Team

Skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills with prior supervisory experience in group homes.
  • Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage budgets and operational tasks efficiently.
  • Compassionate communication skills tailored for working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, healthcare providers, and families.
  • Experience in home & community care environments is advantageous. This position is ideal for professionals committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through compassionate leadership and comprehensive care management.

Pay: $53,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
