Coleman Tri-County Services is looking for hardworking and engaging individuals to provide daily support to adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities within our CILA homes and in the community. These positions are both full-time or part-time with shifts running typically from 4pm to 12am, Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am. Some shifts will have some variance in the hours, such as 3pm to 8pm, Monday through Friday or 8am to 3pm on weekends. These positions are primarily located in Saline County.

This position works with individuals in our agency-owned CILA homes in Harrisburg, Eldorado, and Carmi. Positions at all employment locations include providing a vital role to help the individual with disabilities learn and maintain skills of daily living.

Training is provided with certifications and pay can be up to $17.00 an hour!

Requirements:

· 16 years of age and attending High School

· Must be able to pass STOFHLA test

· Be able to pass a criminal background check

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· Preferred: At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Ability to read and/or interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, or employees.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with basic problem solving.

· Physical demands-regularly required to talk or hear and may also taste or smell. Required to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel and reach with arms and hands. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequently required to assist individuals in wheelchairs and individuals up a ramp. Required to step in, step up, and get in and out of vehicles. Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move a minimum of 35 pounds.

· The work environment may cause the individual to be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

· Complete and maintain DSP required training and certificates

· Attend and contribute to team meetings
