Position Overview
Knoodle Advertising is looking for a full-time Cinematographer & Video Editor who is passionate about film, storytelling, and creating standout video content. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on in a small production team and can help bring ideas to life from concept through final edit.
The Cinematographer & Video Editor will work closely with Knoodle’s production team to concept, film, produce, and edit video content for client campaigns, internal projects, social media, and the Knoodle podcast. This person should be creative, organized, collaborative, and comfortable balancing both production and post-production responsibilities.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with the production team to concept and develop video ideas for client and internal projects

Film high-quality video content for commercials, social media, podcasts, interviews, and branded campaigns

Edit video footage into polished final pieces for multiple platforms

Capture and edit the Knoodle podcast, including video content for long-form and social use

Create short-form social media video content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook

Assist with lighting, audio, camera setup, shot composition, and production logistics

Help manage footage, files, project organization, and editing timelines

Work closely with creative, account, and strategy teams to ensure video content aligns with the project goals and brand direction

Bring fresh ideas, visual references, and creative energy to production planning and execution

Stay current on video trends, editing styles, social content formats, and emerging production techniques
Qualifications

Strong passion for film, video production, storytelling, and visual content

Experience filming and editing video content in a professional, freelance, agency, or production environment

Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms

Working knowledge of cameras, lighting, audio, and production equipment

Ability to shoot with strong composition, lighting, and visual storytelling instincts

Experience editing content for social media and digital platforms

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative agency environment

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Willingness to contribute creatively during concepting and production planning

Podcast production or editing experience is a plus

They are just as comfortable behind the camera as they are in the edit bay, and they enjoy taking a project from idea to execution. They have a strong eye for visuals, a good sense of pacing, and an understanding of how to create content that connects with audiences across platforms.
