About the Role:
The Reel Factory is looking for a creative Cinematographer who can handle camera operations during shoots and also support the post-production team with basic video editing.
This role is ideal for someone who understands framing, lighting, color, cinematic shots, and has hands-on experience with mirrorless/DSLR cameras.
Key Responsibilities: Cinematography & Camera Operation
- Shoot high-quality videos for commercials, brand films, reels, events, and corporate projects.
- Operate DSLR/mirrorless cameras, gimbals, and lighting equipment.
- Frame shots creatively following brand and director guidelines.
- Capture smooth B-rolls, product shots, interviews, and event coverages.
Lighting & Visual Aesthetics
- Set up lighting for indoor and outdoor shoots.
- Maintain color consistency and follow cinematic lighting styles.
- Understand exposure, shutter, ISO, white balance, and lenses.
Basic Video Editing Support
- Do basic editing using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Arrange footage, cut rough edits, sync audio, and prepare timelines.
- Add simple transitions and color corrections (basic level).
- Coordinate with the senior editor for final cuts.
Equipment & Project Management
- Maintain camera and shooting equipment responsibly.
- Manage data transfer, backups, and storage of footage.
- Work with the production team for shoot planning and logistics.
Skills Required:
- Experience operating DSLR/Mirrorless cameras (Sony, Canon, etc.)
- Knowledge of gimbal handling, basic lighting setups
- Strong understanding of framing, composition, and cinematography basics
- Basic editing skills in Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve
- Ability to work in fast-paced shoots
- Creativity, patience, and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Visual Communication, Media, Film Making, or similar field
- Experience in a production house
- Basic knowledge of color grading (added advantage)
