Job Summary
Embark on an exciting summer journey as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) in our vibrant Summer Adventure Program! This internship offers passionate individuals the chance to develop essential skills in youth engagement, leadership, and program coordination. As a CIT, you will support experienced staff in creating a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for children. This role is perfect for motivated young leaders eager to gain hands-on experience in childcare, education, and camp activities while making a positive impact on young participants’ summer experiences.

<Responsibilities>

  • Assist lead counselors & Program Directors in supervising children during daily activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
  • Support planning and executing age-appropriate activities, including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games
  • Help maintain a positive environment by practicing effective behavior management techniques and classroom management skills
  • Engage in team meetings and training sessions to develop leadership skills and deepen understanding of childhood development principles
  • Promote a fun, respectful atmosphere aligned with our programs values.

Requirements

  • Enthusiastic about working with children and eager to learn new skills in childcare, teaching, or camp leadership
  • Prior experience or interest in areas such as babysitting, tutoring, sports coaching, theater, or daycare is a plus
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and interact positively with children
