CIVIL AND MEP TECHNICAL ENGINEER

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Engineer – Civil & MEP to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bridge civil and MEP disciplines, ensuring technical compliance, design integration, and operational efficiency across all phases of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Civil Engineering:

• Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure civil works are executed as per approved designs and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues related to excavation, foundation, concrete, and finishing works.
• Liaise with consultants and authorities for approvals and inspections.

MEP Engineering:

• Analyze MEP drawings (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting) and ensure alignment with civil works.
• Monitor installation and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring adherence to codes and project timelines.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery and quality assurance.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover documentation.

Cross-Functional Duties:

• Assist in preparing technical submittals, RFIs, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Participate in value engineering and design optimization reviews.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records of site progress, technical issues, and resolutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical engineering roles within construction, infrastructure, or MEP sectors.
• Strong understanding of local building codes, DEWA/ADDC regulations, and authority requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and project management tools.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects (e.g., landscaping, infrastructure, high-rise, or industrial).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED10,000.00 per month
