Civil Attorney

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in personal injury law. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills, legal research capabilities, and the ability to draft legal documents effectively. The Attorney will be responsible for representing clients in legal matters, providing sound legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Duties

• Represent clients in legal proceedings and negotiations in personal injury law including commercial truck, car, bicycle, bus, motorcycle and pedestrian accidents; premises liability; product liability, slip and fall accidents; dog bite claims, etc.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and attention to detail.
• Advise clients on their rights and obligations under the law while providing strategic guidance on complex legal issues.
• Engage in litigation processes when necessary, advocating for clients’ interests in court.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients' cases or the firm’s practice areas.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive client service.
• Manage case files efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in Nevada / a plus if also CA licensed
• Experience of 1-3 years in personal injury law.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes in client representation.
• Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
• Proficient in legal research methodologies using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Previous legal administrative experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
