Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Construction Pipe Layer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately laying underground utility lines, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Your expertise will help us build reliable infrastructure for various projects. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to determine pipe layout and installation procedures.
- Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and position pipes accurately.
- Install pipelines using pipe lasers for precise alignment and welding techniques for secure connections.
- Perform concrete finishing tasks related to pipeline supports or trench backfilling as needed.
- Utilize utility locating tools to identify existing underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents.
- Conduct pipeline testing, including pressure tests and inspections to ensure integrity and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on pipeline installation or utility work.
- Skilled in heavy equipment operation including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading
- Familiarity with construction safety practices and OSHA regulations related to underground utility work.
- Experience with oil & gas pipeline projects is a plus but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
