Civil Designer/Drafter or Civil Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Civil Designer/Drafter or Civil Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise civil engineering drawings, schematics, and designs that support a variety of private and public infrastructure projects.

The employee will be responsible for the preparation of civil engineering plans using traditional design tools and Civil 3D including: creating grading surface models, roadway alignments, typical sections, plan and profiles, cross-sections, grading, erosion and sediment control, drainage area maps, ADA compliance sidewalks and ramps, storm drainage layout, sanitary sewer system layout, utility layouts, drainage area maps and detail sheets. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-works, clients, outside agencies and vendors. Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Duties

• Develop detailed civil engineering drawings, schematics, and designs using CAD Civil 3D software.
• Create 2D and 3D models for infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, and site layouts.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to interpret project requirements and produce accurate design documentation.
• Prepare construction documents, technical reports, and specifications that meet regulatory standards.
• Conduct drafting reviews and quality checks to ensure precision and adherence to project guidelines.

Skills

• Proficiency in CAD programs including AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, and ArchiCAD.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools such as Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and SketchUp.
• Knowledge of construction processes and technical drafting standards.
• Familiarity with schematic development and system design principles across civil engineering disciplines.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design concepts relevant to infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and create detailed schematics for various engineering applications.

Pay: $25.00 - $36.00 per hour
