Job Description:

We are currently seeking resumes from qualified Civil Designers/Engineering-In-Training for our Phoenix, Arizona office. This position is a hybrid role. The role will provide Civil Engineering and related CAD support to the Energy Group for their Solar Photovoltaic projects and perform engineering assignments and tasks, compile data, perform design computations (grading, drainage, estimations), and mainly prepare engineering CAD plans and construction details based on existing templates. Works under Project Manager/Civil Designer supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected. We are looking for someone with the willingness to perform a variety of tasks and work both independently and as part of a team and at times will assist the Project Team in technical meetings and correspondence with clients.

This role will assist senior design personnel in developing and completing designs and contract documents as well as Civil Design of large-scale utility solar plants throughout the Country. Ability to function as a project engineer and understand all aspects of design and plan production. Preparation and checking of design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and project plans.

We are looking for a self-motivated, technically proficient, who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, and is team oriented. Travel periodically and be physically capable of performing fieldwork.


Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar field
  • Holds an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or able to obtain in 6 months of hire.
  • Have experience and familiarity with civil design codes and guidelines
  • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Must have solid skills in the following areas: planning and scheduling; organization; problem-solving; and decision
  • Project Wise experience is a plus
  • HECRAS and earthwork modeling experience a plus
  • Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier
