Position Overview

The Civil Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans for civil, structural, architectural, and interior fit-out works based on engineering and architectural specifications. The candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD (and preferably Revit), possess strong knowledge of construction drawing standards, and be capable of producing accurate and timely drawings for site execution and coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and revise civil, architectural, and structural layout drawings, sections, elevations, and detail drawings.
• Develop interior fit-out drawings, finishing schedules, joinery details, and coordination drawings.
• Create shop drawings and as-built drawings based on site measurements.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy and design intent alignment.
• Ensure all drawings comply with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and project specifications.
• Assist with material quantity take-offs and preparation of construction documents.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control for all drawings.
• Collaborate with BIM coordination teams when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of drafting experience including civil and architectural fit-out drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is preferred.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out detailing (partitions, ceilings, joinery, finishes).
• Familiarity with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and Gulf region building practices.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP coordination drawings.
• Strong accuracy, detail orientation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work under pressure.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in airport, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of BIM workflows and coordination.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
