Civil Engineer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a UPDA Certified Civil Engineer with strong experience in both project execution and quantity surveying. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing structural and architectural works, preparing BOQs and cost estimates, coordinating with consultants, and successfully handling project handover procedures. This role requires both technical site execution expertise and commercial awareness to support accurate cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead civil engineering activities across project lifecycle, from initiation to final handover.

• Execute and supervise structural, architectural, and finishing works, ensuring adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Manage quantity surveying activities, including BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and variations.

• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical and contractual issues.

• Prepare and review method statements, progress reports, and quality documentation.

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and HSE regulations.

• Handle project handover to consultants and clients, ensuring all documentation, inspections, and approvals are completed successfully.

• Participate in client/consultant meetings, progress reviews, and technical discussions.

• Support project cost control, procurement coordination, and contractual documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).

• UPDA Certification (Qatar) – mandatory.

• Minimum 8–10 years of GCC experience in civil and architectural projects.

• Proven experience in Quantity Surveying (BOQs, cost estimation, variation orders).

• Strong background in project handover to consultants.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project reporting tools.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills with consultants, contractors, and clients.
