Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing various civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and proficiency in various engineering software.
Duties
- Develop and review project plans, specifications, and schematics for civil engineering projects.
- Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation for drafting and design.
- Conduct project scheduling to ensure timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Perform construction management tasks including site inspections and quality control assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical engineering, hydraulics, and water treatment systems into designs.
- Prepare construction estimates and budgets while maintaining adherence to project specifications.
- Utilize GIS and ArcGIS for mapping and spatial analysis relevant to projects.
- Engage in technical writing to produce clear documentation of project progress, findings, and recommendations.
- Implement SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) for hydrologic modeling as necessary.
- Oversee pipeline design projects ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in civil engineering with experience in the following areas:
- Project management including scheduling and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in construction estimating techniques.
- Familiarity with construction inspection processes to ensure quality assurance.
- Experience with drafting tools such as CAD systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles as they relate to civil projects.
- Understanding of land surveying techniques for accurate data collection.
- Competence in using Mathcad for calculations related to system design.
