The Role

As part of our Engineering team, the Civil Engineer will contribute to the design, coordination, and delivery of infrastructure and building projects across various sectors. This role involves supporting senior engineers in preparing civil and structural designs, performing analysis, and ensuring that all designs comply with relevant standards, codes, and project requirements. The Civil Engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and technically sound engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of civil works including site grading, roads, drainage, utilities, and structural elements.
• Support the preparation of drawings, design reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines such as structural, MEP, and geotechnical teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify design implementation and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering exercises, and quality control processes.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and cost estimates when required.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• 3-6 years of experience in civil engineering design or construction, preferably within a consultancy environment.
• Knowledge of regional and international design standards and codes.
• Experience in infrastructure, building, or mixed-use development projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with design and analysis tools such as Civil 3D, STAAD, ETABS, or similar software.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with a professional engineering body is an advantage.

Key Knowledge and Skills

• Strong technical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good understanding of engineering principles, design coordination, and construction processes.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and sustainable design practices.
