Job Description:
- Collaborate with clients to understand project goals, requirements, and constraints.
- Study detailed engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Evaluate project sites for factors such as soil conditions, environmental impacts, and feasibility.
- To arrange, chair and record meetings, commencing with the kick-off meeting and thereafter progress and management meetings that are deemed necessary.
- To establish procedures for inspection approvals, testing, commissioning in accordance with the requirements of the contract.
- Provide construction oversight, site visits, and quality control to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Review the contractor’s HSE plan and ensures that the safety procedures are followed at site.
- Review and comment on the contractor’s programs ensuring that they are sufficiently detailed to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the contract, allocated resources and cash flow.
- Review the contractor’s construction method statements and material submittals in accordance with
- requirements of contract.
- Monitor the Contractors progress during construction and regularly assesses output.
- Implement QMS requirements and conduct regular Audits.
- Ensure the contractor liaisons with service and other authorities in a timely manner so as not to affect the progress of the works by attending meetings, monitoring agreed programmers and regular follow-up.
- Work closely with back-office team to highlight deviations / issues on priority and provide quick resolution to client.
- Ensure that engineering designs and plans adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Obtain the necessary permits and approvals from regulatory authorities.]
- Maintain effective communication with clients to provide updates, address concerns, and manage expectations.
- Present technical information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for the project.
- Prepare in developing project budgets and monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address construction issues and propose solutions as needed.
- Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Recommend modifications to designs to address unforeseen challenges.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
- Provide technical expertise to support project scheduling and coordination.
- Develop comprehensive and accurate Bills of Quantities based on project designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Review and analyze drawings to ensure BOQ compliance with project requirements.
- Liaise with design and project teams to clarify project scope and requirements.
- Evaluate and compare tender submissions from contractors and vendors.
- Perform cost analysis and identify discrepancies in tender proposals.
- Prepare detailed comparison reports with recommendations for management.
- Manage the process of tender invitation and distribution to qualified contractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate pre-bid meetings and respond to tender queries.
- Ensure tenders are floated and awarded in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and consultants to ensure accurate tender documentation.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with stakeholders during all tender stages.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of BOQs, tenders, and comparisons.
- Present reports and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
