Job Title: MEP Civil Engineer

Job Summary

The MEP Civil Engineer is responsible for coordinating and integrating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems with civil and structural works in construction projects. The role ensures that MEP installations comply with design specifications, safety standards, project schedules, and local authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP works with civil and structural teams to avoid clashes and rework
• Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
• Ensure proper execution of MEP works as per approved drawings and specifications
• Supervise on-site installation of MEP systems and monitor progress
• Conduct inspections and quality checks for MEP installations
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with local authority requirements and project standards
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems
• Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation
• Identify and resolve site-related technical issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in MEP coordination or construction projects
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and materials
• Familiarity with local building codes and authority regulations (e.g., UAE standards if applicable)

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and basic BIM coordination
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction and MEP drawings
• Good understanding of construction sequencing and site execution
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Time management and multitasking skills

Work Environment

• Construction site and office-based
• May require extended hours depending on project requirements
