Job Summary:
A Civil Engineer plans, designs, develops, and supervises the construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, buildings, dams, airports, water supply systems, and drainage systems. They ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop civil engineering projects using engineering principles and software.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies.
- Manage and supervise construction activities and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress, quality, and budget performance.
- Review and approve engineering designs, reports, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with architects, surveyors, consultants, and government authorities.
- Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues.
- Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation measures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Engineer Registration Card.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, ETABS, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
