Civil Engineer / Draftsman / Quantity Surveyor

DEKVON Building Contracting L.L.C is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer with strong knowledge in drafting, quantity surveying, estimation, and site coordination for building construction projects in Dubai.

The ideal candidate should be capable of handling both technical office work and site-related coordination independently. The candidate must have practical experience in preparing drawings, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, material estimation, and coordination with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare civil, architectural, and shop drawings using AutoCAD
• Modify and update drawings as per consultant/client comments
• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQ, and material calculations
• Prepare quotations, cost estimations, and project variations
• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors
• Follow up authority approvals and drawing submissions when required
• Monitor project progress and maintain technical documentation
• Assist in planning materials, manpower, and work schedules
• Review site conditions and ensure drawings match site requirements
• Support project execution from initiation until completion

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD drafting
• Good experience in quantity surveying and estimation works
• Understanding of construction drawings and site execution
• UAE experience in contracting/construction field preferred
• Knowledge of Dubai authority procedures is an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge in structural and architectural drafting
• Experience in villa and commercial building projects
• Ability to prepare project reports and progress updates
• Strong problem-solving and coordination ability
