Our team is seeking a Civil Engineer with 0-3 years’ experience in land development projects to join the staff in our Haslett office.
Will perform similar tasks of a Project Manager with the scope and responsibilities managed by this position increasing with years of experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing, drafting and producing plans and related documentation, performing technical research, etc for land development projects
- Prepares engineering analysis, design, calculations, and reports for a portion or all of a project for review by a Project Manager
- Designs grading and drainage for site improvements
- Designs utility piping systems, involving sanitary, water main, and storm drainage
- Performs hydrology and hydraulic calculations for gravity and pressure piping systems and surface drainage
- Performs construction assistance related tasks including responding to project information requests, visiting job sites, reviewing material submittals, and coordinating with the design team and project consultants for revisions
- Prepares plan reviews, permit applications, analyzes zoning ordinances, and evaluates land use
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- B.S. Civil Engineering or equivalent
- EIT/FE certification-working towards P.E. licensure
Knowledge and Experience
- 0-3 years of engineering experience showing progressively increasing responsibility
- Experience using AutoCAD for land development applications, Civil D preferred but not required. Working knowledge of typical computer software programs for civil engineering design and management (Microsoft Office, etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
