- Document Analysis:Review and interpret project blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand the project scope.
- Cost Estimation:Calculate, prepare, and present detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
- Research & Bidding:Research new construction methods and materials, obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors, and analyze bid proposals to select the most cost-effective options.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, and contractors to formulate estimates and address project requirements.
- Cost Control:Develop and manage project budgets, monitor actual costs against estimates, and implement cost-saving measures.
- Risk Assessment:Identify potential risks, perform risk assessments, and incorporate safety and health requirements into the estimates.
- Reporting:Prepare and submit progress reports and cost tracking reports for management and stakeholders.

- Technical Skills:Proficiency in using cost estimating software and the ability to develop cost models.
- Analytical Skills:Strong ability to analyze complex data and technical documentation to produce accurate estimates.
