Civil Engineer Finishing

A Civil Engineer (Finishing) oversees the final stages of construction, ensuring aesthetic and functional quality in tasks like plastering, flooring, tiling, painting, and joinery. They manage contractors, adhere to budgets and timelines, ensure compliance with design drawings, and conduct snagging before project handover.

Responsibilities

• Site Supervision: Supervise all finishing activities, including ceiling, façades, painting, and flooring, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Quality Control: Inspect finishing works to confirm they meet specifications, standards, and approved drawings.
• Coordination: Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and suppliers for smooth project execution.
• Schedule & Budget: Manage finishing schedules, monitor progress, and manage material wastage to control costs.
• Snagging/Defect Management: Identify and rectify defects or non-conformance issues before final handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• 5–7+ years of experience in high-end or commercial finishing projects.
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials, techniques, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in reading technical and architectural drawings.
