Civil Engineer, PE – Land Development. Join the Wuest Group!

Wuest Group is growing, and we’re looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join our Austin-based land development team. This role is ideal for an early-career PE who wants to take ownership of projects, work directly with clients, and grow within a collaborative, hands-on environment.

What You’ll Do

You will play a key role in delivering civil land development projects across the Austin region, including:

• Site plans, subdivision layouts, and platting
• Roadway design and traffic control plans
• Water distribution, water quality, and drainage design
• Floodplain analysis and drainage studies
• Preparation and sealing of engineering plans, reports, and calculations
• Coordination with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies

You will lead day-to-day technical design efforts on projects while collaborating with senior engineers and supporting the development of junior team members as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Approximately 2+ years of civil land development experience
• Strong preference for experience within the Texas market, ideally Austin
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Strong understanding of local development regulations, permitting processes, and design standards
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with clients and project stakeholders
• Candidates with primary experience in structural, geotechnical, or environmental engineering are not the right fit for this role

Compensation & Benefits

$105,000 – $135,000+ depending on experience

Location

This is a full-time, onsite role based in our Austin office (North Loop / Mueller area). Candidates must be based in the Austin area and have reliable transportation.
