Job Description

Rosenberg Associates, a civil engineering consulting firm located in St. George, Utah, is seeking applicants for a Civil Staff Engineer. The position would be responsible for completing designated tasks as directed by a senior project engineer. Work will require application of standard engineering techniques and procedures, professional judgment to make modifications, or execute complex features or solutions in the office or field. The position is anticipated to be full-time, Monday through Friday. Hourly wage is negotiable, depending on experience.

Job Requirements

Handle multiple projects simultaneously and independently, including prioritizing, organizing, and planning time effectively to meet deadlines.

Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

Be able to learn and use engineering software for developing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling systems including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and EPA-NET.

Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D software platform to prepare site civil construction plans.

Utilize the Microsoft Office and Adobe software platforms. Knowledge of ArcGIS platforms and Bentley Microstation CAD software is also helpful.

Possess a valid driver's license. Company vehicle will be provided for travel to job sites, but applicants should have their own vehicle for daily travel to/from office.

Perform other assigned duties as required.

Job Benefits

Paid Leave: The company provides 9 paid holidays per year, plus a starting 96-hour leave time benefit per year to begin accruing upon start of employment. Leave time accrual increases with tenure up to 208 hours per year. Flexible hours are okay for time off needs as approved by supervisor.

401k: A 401k plan is available to employees following one year of employment. Company will match 100% up to 3% of income, then will match 50% for an additional 2% of income.

Medical Insurance: The company does not sponsor a group medical insurance plan; however, the company does participate in a local health and wellness program paired with a locally sourced medical cost sharing program. The monthly cost varies depending on the coverage options.

Other Benefits: The company sponsors a group dental plan and group vision plan at a discounted rate for all full-time employees. The company sponsors a group life insurance plan that includes a $25,000 covered death benefit at no cost to the employee.
