Civil Engineer - Swimming Pool & Water feature

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage all civil and structural works for swimming pool construction, including excavation, formwork, rebar, concreting, waterproofing, and finishing.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, structural details, and specifications, ensuring compliance with design and site conditions.
• Coordinate with design, MEP, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution and timely material availability.
• Prepare and monitor work schedules, manpower allocation, and daily progress reports in coordination with the planning department.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, local authority regulations, and company HSE policies throughout all project phases.
• Conduct site inspections to verify the quality of works, materials, and workmanship at every stage of construction.
• Manage and verify concrete pouring, curing, and waterproofing activities to ensure structural soundness and leak-proof integrity.
• Supervise pool finishing works, including tiling, grouting, coping, decking, and expansion joint detailing.
• Coordinate with the MEP team for the proper integration of pool fittings, plumbing, lighting, and filtration systems within civil works.
• Assist in the preparation of method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and material submittals for client and consultant approval.
• Participate in testing and commissioning activities, ensuring that pools meet design, performance, and quality requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
• Support the Project Manager in cost control, progress tracking, and handover documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in swimming pool construction and finishing works.
• Strong understanding of pool structural design, waterproofing systems, concrete works, and finishing materials.
