Civil Engineer - Waterproofing

1. Review and analyze project specification, IFC drawings (structural, architectural, layouts, and details), and other project documents.

2. Engineering works submission: Prepare Material Submittal, Shop Drawings, MSRA, As Built Drawings and other required technical documents as per project requirements on time and follow up to obtain necessary approvals to get code A.

3. Prepare quantity take-offs using IFC drawings, estimate material requirements, and submit material requests to the Purchase Department to align with the work flow procedure.

4. Update daily material usage reports and reconcile against delivery notes based on the projects.

5. Regularly visit sites to check material usage, work quality, and compliance with project specifications and approvals.

6. Evaluate material estimates based on drawing plans and compare according to actual on-site requirements/measurement without exceeding the approved percentage of wastage.

7. Raise and maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, including:

· Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) raising, maintain track record.

· Material Inspection Requests (MIRs)

· Site Observation Report (SORs)

· Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) – raising, tracking, and ensuring timely closure

· Damage/defect reports for site works

8. Coordinate with the AMIM site team regarding work progress and prepare site progress tracking record.

9. Support the engineering and site teams in resolving project-related issues.

10. Review enquiries, study, evaluate and prepare quotation as per project specifications, BOQ, drawings, UAE Standards, Estidama/ Sustainability requirement and other technical documents related to the enquiry.

11. Collaborates with Main Contractor/Clients through follow-ups regarding quotation approvals and preparing/updating the Log.

12. Coordinates with suppliers/manufacturers regarding material rates, availability, and system compliance to project documents.

13. Review Sub Contract Agreement or Purchase Order or Letter of Intent technically with the Manager in accordance of FIDIC.

14. Support the project manager in overseeing projects, identifying and addressing any technical deviations as they arise.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE experience in waterproofing works with a specialized waterproofing subcontractor.
• Strong knowledge of waterproofing systems, materials, application methods, and testing procedures.
• Experience in site coordination with consultants, main contractors, and project teams.
• Ability to review drawings, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• UAE driving license is preferred.
