College / Drafting Classes a plus

*On-the-Job Training in a Land Surveying Office, Civil Engineering Office or Department of Transportation is ideal

Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, experience, certification, license)

This position will involve mostly office-based work with a variety of drafting, modeling, and design software platforms (i.e. Bentley Power Geopak, Bentley Open Roads Designer, Autodesk AutoCAD, Trimble Terramodel). Prior experience with at least one of these is a must. A strong candidate will also be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (primarily Word and Excel).

Design support using HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, ArcGIS, etc. may be involved. Prior working experience with any of these is a plus.

The civil engineering designer/drafter will participate in plans production for diverse projects including residential subdivisions, commercial land development, state and local roadway design, environmental permitting, etc.

This role will include processing survey data, drafting sheets and details for construction plans, performing basic calculations of grades, quantities, cost, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
