Civil Finishing Engineer

Job Summary:

The Finishing Civil Engineer is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of all finishing activities at the construction site, including plastering, flooring, painting, false ceiling, joinery, waterproofing, tiling, and other interior works. The role involves close coordination with architects, contractors, and other site engineers to ensure that finishing work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:1. Site Supervision and Execution:

• Oversee day-to-day finishing works at the project site.
• Ensure finishing activities (plastering, painting, flooring, tiling, false ceiling, woodwork, etc.) are carried out as per design and specifications.
• Check that materials and workmanship meet quality standards.
• Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of finishing activities.

2. Quality Control:

• Conduct regular inspections and ensure adherence to project quality standards.
• Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain quality checklists and inspection reports.
• Verify and approve mock-ups and sample finishes before execution.

3. Coordination:

• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors for smooth execution.
• Liaise with procurement and stores teams for timely availability of finishing materials.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure proper sequencing and completion of works.

4. Planning and Monitoring:

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Plan and allocate manpower, materials, and tools for finishing work.
• Ensure all finishing works are executed within the planned schedule and budget.

5. Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all safety measures are followed at site.
• Comply with organizational and statutory safety standards.

6. Documentation:

• Maintain site records, drawings, quality checklists, and inspection reports.
• Ensure proper documentation of material usage and wastage control.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in finishing works in residential/commercial real estate projects.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of finishing materials, methods, and standards.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and civil drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and site reporting tools.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and timelines.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
