Civil Litigation Officer

A Civil Litigation Officer plays a vital role in supporting the Financial Remediation (FR) Unit focusing on recovery of outstanding debts through Legal channels. This Job exists to manage the billing part and process all invoices pertaining to Retail Civil litigation received by the external advocates.


What You'll Do

  • Arrange for all the documentations required for initiating civil measures, and ensuring updating, archiving in civil records.
  • Coordinate with departments/lawyers/staff for any correspondence/update related to these civil cases.
  • Provide necessary documents for expert meetings & answer all the expert questions & enquires.
  • Follow up the civil case procedures to ensure getting judgments in bank’s favor.
  • Worked on recalculating interest based on court judgment.
  • Maintain and process all invoices received from the lawyer for In-house, business banking, Home Loan & Agency civil cases
  • Preparing Settlements Courts letter and ensure register them in the courts
  • Follow-up monthly installments & drop cases after period completion
  • Ensure fast payment to lawyers/Court and minimize the errors
  • Ensure no duplicate payments to be paid and highlighting the errors
  • Negotiation on amicable settlement with the customers.



What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Banking or Financial institution or Collection Experience
  • Problem Identification and solving skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
