Civil Litigation Paralegal

<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic legal team as a Civil Litigation Paralegal, where you will play a vital role in supporting complex litigation cases across personal injury litigation. You will be responsible for managing case files, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and coordinating with attorneys to ensure smooth case progression.   • Assist attorneys with case management by organizing and maintaining legal files using document management systems such as FILEVINE
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies across areas including environmental law, tribal law & regulations, workers' compensation law, and personal injury law.
  • Draft, proofread, and review legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Review and analyze documents for relevance and accuracy during document review processes; prepare summaries for attorney review.
  • Coordinate deposition scheduling, client interviews, court filings, and trial preparations while ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Support project management tasks by tracking case progress, maintaining calendars for court deadlines, and managing data entry within case management software.
  • Provide executive administrative support including phone etiquette, organizing meetings, and managing correspondence related to litigation matters.
  • Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses as needed to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while ensuring compliance with legal standards and regulations across various practice areas such as securities law or patent law.

<Skills>

  • Proven experience as a paralegal in litigation settings with familiarity in civil law procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of legal research platforms including Westlaw, LexisNexis, and PCLaw; experience with iManage document management system is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing skills for drafting pleadings, memos, and correspondence; keen proofreading abilities are essential.
  • Proficiency in legal administrative tasks such as data entry, filing systems, document review, and transcription.
  • Familiarity with a broad range of practice areas personal injury law, immigration law
  • Project management skills to coordinate case activities efficiently from inception through trial or settlement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interviewing clients or witnesses effectively while demonstrating professionalism through excellent phone etiquette.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
