Duties

  • Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation, including case preparation, discovery, trial support, and post-trial activities
  • Manage and organize case files using legal case management systems such as PCLaw, iManage, and document management platforms
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, subpoenas, contracts, and correspondence
  • Review and analyze documents for relevance and privilege during document review processes
  • Coordinate depositions, court filings, hearings, and client meetings while maintaining meticulous schedules
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case activities in compliance with firm protocols

Skills

  • Proven experience supporting civil litigation cases with familiarity in areas such as personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, family law, and legal administrative experience
  • Strong knowledge of legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis to gather pertinent case law and statutory information
  • Proficiency in using legal case management software such as PCLaw and document management systems like iManage for efficient file handling
  • Excellent drafting skills for preparing pleadings, contracts, discovery documents, and correspondence with attention to detail
  • Effective interviewing skills for client intake and witness interviews to gather relevant information accurately
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy in all legal documents
  • Strong clerical experience including filing (both electronic and physical), data entry, phone etiquette, and administrative support within a law office setting
  • Ability to perform thorough legal research on diverse topics including securities law, patent law, tribal regulations, or specific practice areas as needed
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities to coordinate tasks efficiently across teams while maintaining high-quality standards

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
